That's why the U.S use pounds (lb) when speaking of peoples cough'over'cough weight in that country...a bigger number so it makes a bigger statement about the - ummmmm - lack of good health that has afflicted a large percentage of the population....

STOP up sizing at maccas ya fat farks...............my opinion only

I changed the center tailshaft bearing after forgetting to undo the necessary bolts while lowering the gearbox to put in a mal wood short shifter last week, which tore the bearing out of its rubber housing. Wouldn't have been able to get the bastard uni joint apart without a hydraulic press in the office.

living in the past... kW is the metric measurement of power, horsepower is imperial, essentially. Harder to get bigger numbers, but you know people aren't exaggerating as much.

Now now keiff, let's not get into the imperial vs metric thing again :P

You have some more information regarding this?

yes I'm aware that there is mechanical horsepower (strictly imperial) and metric horsepower which appears to be to assist with people who are still as yet unfaoomiliar with figures quoted in terms of kW

Not as though I was wrong last time in what I stated (aside from the actual 19/21mm size). There was just further underlying information that did nothing but cloud the original information with doubt (about A/F == imperial)

When I bought my car, way back in 2002, it's power output was quoted in KW.

Not fricken hp!

Fairly sure today's new cars are still quoted in KW too... Why go back to hp? Oh that's right, your either a) living in the past, or b) measuring your doodle

Did it's 57k oil and filter service. Used castrol 0-40w (edge titanium?). The oil that came out was put in by the toyota dealer at 51k was black and gluggy, worst looking oil I've seen, no idea what happened there. Anyway put the new stuff in and it runs a whole lot better, the car is perfectly smooth, before it was a little bit rough idling.

And after 4 months I just realised there is a ford audio booster cable for my ipod. To be fair it's hard to find the aux port, I only figured it out after finding the module. It's factory but it's dated to 2009 (my car is a nov 07) must have been put in by the previous owner. I also layed dynamat across the parcel shelf so no sub rattle now, miles better.

Found the rear swaybar link bush was the cause of the massive knock when turning right.

The cars booked in with XFT for a custom tune and injectors. Can't wait should really bring the car to life. (while it's there I'll see if they car fix the swaybar bush and install my earls oil line kit?)
