umm, this is a huge guess, but im assuming its cast aluminium, so maybe tigging up the pinholes, then grinding/sanding the welds back to flush? a lot of welding/finishing though......

be very happy to hear from others who can confirm my idea, or suggest ways to fix

Its been on the car for years so its only cosmetic. Painted it will be fine, just thought I would post my findings. Powder coating I think filled all the holes originally. My painter will have it looking smick.

Nothing tougher than BLACK.

Got the all ford day soon and Todds F6 is blue motor. Our cars are already very similar ( I had mine first) so thanks to Dirty32 I went black.
