Cleaned throttle body, lubed boost solenoid and then something new for me - did the idler pulley and tensioner pulley change today. Car isn't showing battery light and still steers well so I must have got the belt on properly hahaha. The hardest part was not having the correct size breaker bar. Was barely able to use a short ratchet handle of the right size to loosen old one off, but new belt was laughing at me when I tried the same to put it on. Eventually manoeuvred a much longer 1/2 inch with adapter (3/8" is it?) in there, thing was hard to get back out!

Also cleaned the crossover and some of the other piping for the first time in about 2 years! Didn't bother with metal surfaces as was just playing with my silicone spray really :) Also a bit on the new pulleys before fitting to extend life hopefully.

Fitted a pair of Phillips led day running lights today to my courier ute as I do a fair bit of open road driving, so visibility is important.

A really nice kit, plug n play. A wire to battery neg and pos, and a trigger wire to the parkers. Unit senses voltage dip on startup and turns on, and turns itself off when the engine is turned off or the lights are turned on. Very tricky and super bright white light.

changed the diff oil and checked the trans fluid for the first time since it was rebuild 18 months ago. diff oil was turning black, trans fluid was as clean as the day it was put in. replaced 2 exhaust hanger rubbers as well.

Next time your doing the belt or getting at the front of the motor, rip the thermofans out it literally takes 2 minutes.

2x 10mm (I think that's the size) bolts either side of the rad, up the top, and disconnect the wiring, then the assembly just lifts out.

Today I decided, that tomorrow at some stage, I will wash it mine and fill it with fuel.

Last weekend I fitted a catch can, then used some of that Subaru upper engine cleaner, worked okay, blew f*ck all white smoke compared to other cars I've seen.

Changed the oil after doing that too.
