GTEXXED Banned Banned 910 Member For: 12y 6m 12d Gender: Male Posted 01/11/12 11:56 PM Share Posted 01/11/12 11:56 PM (edited) Shanahan Crash Repairs in Port Adelaide.My mates use to work there so thought it would be a safe bet.I have to give them the chance to fix their mistakes and that's why I got the assessor back in to look at the crap work and know what the difference is once fixed again.he has gone through with them everything that I pointed out and its all going bare metal again.the spray pressures weren't correct it seems and tiny splatters were throughout the paint.Grit was also found through out,welding burns on my passenger window,over rubbed rear bar,missing window rubber,miss alligned bumper and not clipping in anymore(was clipped in on delivery)over spray on rubbers,water leak in boot and surface rust starting,rust on boot lid hinges allready,missed repair work in boot,tail lights don't line up correctly,touch up work on newly painted panels,orange peeling now.All was picked upon pick up but we needed the car so couldn't leave it with them.they had only shirty loan cars with no a/c and we didnt have the money to waste on a loan car.We now have the EL nice and reliable so she's now off for total fix at no rush,not that I put them under any the first time.I was told alot of people wouldn't pick these defects but I just said they are in the buisness in bringing the car back to pre-accident condition(basically new) or they shouldn't have taken the job.The fella replied with what can I say....you have done ya homework haven't you....I said well I'm not sure but I can tell a defect from a success so if that's me doing homework then it was the easiest ever lol.To ice things a little more when I dropped the car off my mum was with me and she knew the guy in charge from years ago as he is friends with my step dad,he was a little supprised and was very quick to assure us the car will be showroom this time.fingers crossed ay.pics of flame damage from 6 runs at AIR.
