So far I've installed coffee, vitamins, map sensor, injectors and 4 bar fuel reg. Gonna fit up the intercooler and intake then think about getting a tune sorted.

A bit of tuning later and we're sorted. Power is probably only around 250awkw but it's enough for today. I'll get in there when the weather is cooler, it's 42c here and not ideal for road tuning.

I'm using kpm 1500cc injectors that I had picked up a while ago, they dialled in very nicely, I was impressed.

Hooray it's only 25C today compared to the 42C tuning yesterday. That means turbos running on gate pressure make more boost.

For my car this means the extra 2 psi is too much for the fuel pump so it'll be time to upgrade that. I literally filled up with fuel this morning but fortunately I have half a dozen jerry cans. Haha maybe I'll go out and do it this afternoon :yay::nutkick:

Swapped out the stock 4 bar fuel reg for an aftermarket reg today, on the off chance the reg was stuffed. It wasn't, I still had the same result with the fueling. It was fine for about 5 seconds before the pump said nah. I did a couple of runs at varying boost levels to get an idea what was happening and to see where the pump was running out. Fine at low boost, as soon as I got it up to 11psi or so, the wideband graph was matching the boost graph, a sure sign that the pump is not holding pressure.

Oh well, I'll have to bite the bullet and swap the pump. I knew I would have to anyway but it never hurts to confirm things. I really oughta invest in a fuel pressure gauge, it'd save heaps of time.

Pump done, re-tuned and ready to go. Now I wont touch it until I get bored again, then it can get a Plazmaman front mount intercooler, TS Raceport BOV and Plazmaman turbo plenum. Oh and it needs a set of valve springs before any of that. I have 2 unopened sets in the shed that will get the job done.

This little one has more in it if I want to make more power but honestly it's pretty good already. I could swap it for sh*ts and giggles but it's a fair bit of work and I am already sick of working on it lol. Not to mention it has 363xxxkm on it and has the skinny rods, I don't want to chuck a rod out.

While we're on the topic of making more power, the top mount intercooler is a complete piece of garbage. By the end of a pull it has yanked all the timing out and in some cases it will only have 1 degree of timing in it. Even normal driving is significantly affected cos the intercooler is preheating the air going in. I'm fairly sure it will pick up 50awkw, give or take, just from fitting a front mount. I measured it at 230awkw at 12psi so there is a lot of power left on the table with cooler IAT's.
