Today I was offered a hoist. I've just convinced myself that I can pour a slab and install a hoist. 1
BeerTurbo Donating Members 241 Member For: 6y 8m 9d Posted 22/03/21 10:28 AM Share Posted 22/03/21 10:28 AM Easy do it , they are great... This pads 150 mm 32mpa 6*9m poured about 8m ago... with intention of having both hoists here (4p infront of shed) in the process of getting aproval for a 'carport' roof for the pad at 4.13m high. Backs of the pre-existing 6*9 shed (only 3.6m tall).. with another run of about 6* 12m infront of it. Ideally I want to follow the shed roofline along the front till the fence... But I ant made of cash.

Is this a DIY job? And what paint did you go with? considering things get hot in there after a bit of boost. Been thinking about doing my rocker cover as the red wrinkle on mine has oxidised off in several ugly places.

The rest wasn't me 😋 Had the -10AN fittings welded on for $80 from a guy I know that does welding cashies. Cover was cleaned by me, but was prepped and powder coated by elite powder coaters here in Perth. I did fresh seals and new rocker cover bolts. Not to say this can't be a complete DIY job. Plenty of people have done this themselves. You can get decent results using 2k paints (primer, base, top coat). My brother and I did his completely DIY using rattle cans. Ended up costing around $200 in paint, it was all 2k (2 pack primer, base and top coat). I paid $250 for the rocker cover to be powder coated in a blue with chameleon top coat so all-in-all pretty great value. The catch can rattle's like a mother f#cker though. Need to sort that out. I was expecting a bit less power than that tbh. I did a bunch of back to back runs to see what it would be like while giving it a hiding and it was running 72kw over and over. I gave it timing and took some out and although it didn't really show up in the graph the car does feel better on the street. The graph was after letting it cool for a minute. So yeah, now just have to add another 300kw and it'll be sorted
