Haha yeah I'd noticed it when doing the filter and assumed it was a heat sink style cooler. Only just noticed the coolant plumbing from above today.Yeah I'd come to the same conclusion previously re the FGs, but then occasionally hear a horror story. Probably unnecessary, but figured there was no harm in doing while everything was accessible.Fark doing the intake side cam position sensor again any time soon.

Cheap insurance to have a filter.

The number 1 cause of turbocharger failure in B-F-series falcons is the in-line oil filter getting blocked and preventing any oil getting to the turbocharger. There's no point blocking a small hole with a bunch of even smaller holes to save it from potential debris. 1

Slowxr6t Member 560 Member For: 5y 11m 18d Location: New zealand Posted 06/04/20 07:49 AM Share Posted 06/04/20 07:49 AM I agree to remove the stock filter on the engine block as I have done that, but iv put a intune motorsport replacement braided oil line and filter up by the turbo, so I can check and clean the mesh filter easily. I dont agree with running no filter at all for the turbo oil.
