any in-tank seems fine, from my experience, with the stock wiring setup. If you need more than an in-tank pump, then it gets complicated, wiring-wise.

You check how much amperage your pump will draw and if it exceeds the rating of the wire then you'll need thicker wire. Whether you need a relay or not depends on which wiring you are changing/upgrading.

Factory connector and vapour side wiring is good for 30amps. Chassis side wiring is not. I've seen substantial volt drop to high volume in tanks with stock chassis side wiring.

I doubt it would be an issue with a 255 though.

fitted some wiper blades:

no leaks from the fuel pump assembly after the first drive(s) after fitting :) It's fairly noisy :spoton: good sign, imho.

Then gave it a much needed wash as I hadn't done that for ages due to the amount of work I had to do to the car over the last weeks/months.

Finally got a couple of side-on shots of the new brakes :3gears:

That XR6 badge on that side needs replacing haha.

The "leak" wasn't fixed by the washer method :( will get the tuna to fix the leak, I think.

good question... It's just in the box the new one came from, at the moment, after letting all of the fuel within it evaporate.

what do you think I should do with it?

edit: also got the stock catalytic convertor cut out and a 100cpi catalytic convertor + y-piece fitted the other day; also for the tune this week.

Looking at the condition of it, 5c on ebay....

The issue with the high pots, is the lower the fuel gets the less effective they are. that's why I fitted my 460 to a factory pot.
