The one in the background that's up already hits upon the flange as it goes up and so does the one that's stuck. When I did it last time (years ago), I just used those two as progressive levers and out it popped.

Cummon keif lol

the Housings will rotate on the chra especially if you're down to the last one you just might need to secure either one and lots of Inox in there and she will start to give a bit of twist/tap/rotate then you can select a better tool option to get it out

K31th start by juicing it up good with wd40 and see if you can clock the housing. You might be lucky and it'll shift enough to get a ring on it.

There are many ways to undo stuck nuts and bolts. Get googling mayne.

Make sure you have the housings marked so you know which way to get it back together.

Finally I'll give you and anyone else reading this a solid tip. Never round a nut or bolt. There is no excuse for it. Find the right tool and use it properly like any mechanic should do.

yeah, I'll give the rotating of the exhaust housing a crack to get some more room. I've got some nut/bolt removal stuff (that I had to use for a dump pipe nut that just would not budge years ago) which will get it off if I have enough space around the bolt head.

I know that I should not have rounded the bolt head. It's not an ideal situation.

Yes, I took pics of the orientation of the housings with respect to the CHRA. I might just end up buying an exhaust housing anyway xD

Don't just take pics man. Actually mark it with a texta or paint pen so you can line it up. When you are lining up hard lines they can be a bitch if it is out too much. Lol ever tried to do up a banjo bolt when the chra isn't clocked right? You'll be taking it up the butt with no lube if it isn't right.

Yes. I've been through that in the past. You can leave the bolts loose-ish on the manifold in the car and rotate the housings the small amounts needed to line up the hard lines etc, as a last resort for alignment.

You can only be so accurate when changing CHRA anyway as the marks are only on the broken CHRA and not on the new one. The pics will be sufficient.

Most of the time I'll just do this anyway. It takes less than 5 minutes to whack a couple of turbo to manifold bolts in, clock it then pull the whole lot off.
