I cut the other end of those screws where the fuse is attached to the battery box so it'll definitely clear the battery. gotta upgrade the negative - was gona buy a whole new terminal and run a 4guage cable to the body. mmm I'd like to relocate the battery but today all I am installing is a 4channel amp. I need to find where to tap into the speaker outputs from the ICC as the amp gets signal from the speaker outputs so I can retain stock headunit for now. skidxr6t skids Donating Members 2,754 Member For: 12y 28d Gender: Not Telling Posted 05/12/16 04:34 AM Share Posted 05/12/16 04:34 AM (edited) call me dodgy but cat5 makes for AWESOME speaker wire. so I ran one wire from the linelevel input on the amp (or whatever its called) - using a part from a computer power supply (can just see the red plug). this one connects to the ICC's speaker output, the other one goes from the amps speaker output to the factory loom that connects to the speakers. all joins are soldered. the thing is awesome, was cranking hotel california. turns out the rear speakers that I thought were 'quiet' simply needed to be amped, the front speakers needed an amp too. no stereo whine at all, weird on this one. even when turned up full on aux input there is no whine. my old BA had the stereo whine but had the amplified AUX input. oh and OMG ITS SO MUCH LOUDER THAN IT WAS BEFORE WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW anyway time to show my dodgy photos: (this is where I had to splice in to get the speakers. the third cable runs to the drivers side as I had to pick that up over there lol.) the amp has RCA in but also has a high level input to connect directly to the speaker wire that comes out of the ICC. note the red plug says VGA on it as its from a computer power supply. the best bit is I got it all wired up with no polarity issues and no wires connected to the wrong speaker the first go! the amp is huge! I plan on moving it under the seat later cause there is a mount I have to modify slightly and it will fit.
