Installed new idle pulley today. old one would sometimes make a ticking sound and when I removed it I could feel how bad the bearing was.

 

Somehow I did it in like 5 minutes but was under the bonnet for half an hour because I like just looking at the thing (it must be love?).

changed plugs (to copper 7s I had from the capri),
tested coilpacks (all around 0.8ohm primary coil and 5.4k ohm secondary) -- is that ok?,
and cleaned up the engine harness lay within the intake manifold area.

I used what I had handy - one of those stubby flathead screwdrivers from the $10 kits to scrape up my lead clamps and it worked well :)
