I thought that was part of the install process....I will look at instructions later to see if that was one of the steps. If you dont remove the screen, does that mean that I may as well have the oem filter in place....as there would still be a chance the turbo can starve if the screen is there? Or if the filter is decent, then it will catch any gunk before it hits the screen?

Thanks for the advice on location - I'll be annoyed if I find the screen still there.

Mine is basically free from where it does the 90 degree turn beside the valve cover, does a nice radius bend down to the turbo. The the earls line also comes with about 300mm of heat sheilding on it at the turbo end Haha! Sounds like he left it in there. Don't be a ham fisted idiot like me and snap the banjo bolt, it's sh*tty metal from memory and I snapped it with very little force Also a tapered thread at the block, seen a couple of cracked blocks from over tightening. I'm pretty happy with where he routed the line and it's got the heat shield on the first section. The filter itself is at the front of the engine and he wrapped that in heat shielding too, which was probably overkill. Haha sorry if my paranoia about the screen being left in has triggered everyone else's paranoia! ☺
