No oily residue from road grime etc.Only need to rinse off and drip dry the car (plus finish with chamois)

If it's sitting in a garage I'd either just leave it, or do a proper wash every now and then...if it's just "dust and dirt" on the surface from sitting in the garage and you go to the effort of pulling the car out, it would take all of about 5 minutes extra to wash it with a lambswool mitt and double bucket wash method. Much less chance of dragging sh*t across your paint with a chamois (large microfibre towel is more gentle than a chamois too btw) at which point. Edited 03/01/16 10:44 PM by .Stripes. It's as simple as that.EDIT: I'm largely limited by the fact that the car is parked in a shared garage underneath my apartment (hence the car next to mine in the photo) which has no electrical or hose connections. The car is also not running right now (details in the other thread) and this means taking it to a carwash is not a great option. I pushed the car around the carpark to the random tap that's in our shared trash area (probably used for cleaning that area by the sharing supermarket) and hosed the car down until all of the dirt was off it. Where tiny bits of dirt remained I bucket rinsed those areas before letting it drip-dry and then chamois to "finish" it up.
