I'll try it on my XP/Ubuntu laptop tomorrow but I think it's more of an Xcal problem than software or hardware...

Grrr... Does this photo below mean anything to anyone?I'm loading the tune back in my car now as I've given up.In another note... Can the tuner update the Xcal3 without returning it to stock as I'll send it to Dave if he can? Main reason was to get a ZF tune of him to see if that gearbox whine either goes or gets quieter with a former soft as it's out of control atm! I originally thought it had milkshaked as it went from happening in 3-4 only to every gear and any throttle except full throttle...

Dave had dramas trying to update mine a while back when I was there for a tune. Ended up having to buy another one there and then to get car tuned as our days off did not align up for ages after lol.. Kept spare x3 for the F6 Edited 14/06/15 09:18 AM by CHLAXN

Mine was one of the first version of XCAL3 released and I recall Simon saying there was a big fck around getting it updated. Returning to stock and then some other drama. Good luck!
