Do you really want to put anything in there? Like Luke said, I thought about putting a small amount of grease like a couple of rise grain size dabs on there, but then thought about it spreading out and contaminating the pads.

Now that Phill has also mentioned that it causes an effect like a suction cup, makes me happy that I didn't try it.

on some rotors there are small holes near the center of the hub where you can put a bolt in it, to assist removing the rotors.

They don't do them any more and I have no idea why.

Just do a hellish amount of KMs and they don't get time to rust on there :P

Kidding...my rears needed to be hammered off the first time. :/

Or just buy a bigger hammer?

Did that.

Bloody expensive. Will probably only use it once or twice a year.

I'll cop some flack for this...but today I said goodbye to my VF. Not because it was problematic or because it wasn't fast enough or anything...but because I needed to start making financially smarter decisions in my life. I've been working 4.5 years now since leaving uni and had very little to show for it other than a car which owed me a decent chunk of money. So, as much as I loved that car, it's gone to a new home today.

Probably won't be an overly popular choice, but I paid cash for an 08 Honda Accord Euro with only 60,000kms on the clock. Single owner since new and very looked after. Pretty much drives like a new car and is actually a fair bit of fun with the manual gearbox and vtec. Actually handles bloody well too! Which, as Steve mentioned in the WMYFG thread turns out it's got Pedders coilovers in it...SCORE!

Yeah, I don't regret the choices at all JET. I feel much more at ease and can start saving hardcore as of right now.

Still got a nice enough car to drive around in and it's in the shop this break while I'm away getting a stereo fitted so I'll still have all the connectivity and music sh*t my VF had (but a sh*te load better quality!)...so should keep me happy enough putting around town for a few years while I save as much money as possible and owe no-one a damn thing!
