Damn bit at the end where I was waiting for something to happen then nothing happened and I thought of how I'll never get those seconds of my life back

Rear left wheel bearing went today!

Anybody have any tips or recommendations ?

Buy genuine or not, complete or just bearing on its own?

Thanks in advance

Aftermarket is fine, but genuine gives better peace of mind (but is more expensive, of course)

Complete or not is a question of cost and availability of tools. If you have no money, pay somebody to press the bearings in. If you have money to spare buy the complete setup. If you just buy the bearings on their own they need a press to get them in.

Buy both sides... if you fix one side, the other side will likely crap out after a short period of time.
