But of course it's up to you if you want to spend the extra $$.

Gearbox feels nicer, now just gotta be gentle with it for like 5,000kms.

Nice!Dan, why gentle for 5000?I dropped the belt off today and refitted the old original one, got rid of a tick noise. Brushed and put "new" belt back on - still no tick noise. Hoping it was just a stone or something in it, but it only happened once per rotation which was odd. Bought 2 pulleys at Repco for nothing...good to have spares I guess. Was worried the power steering pulley was on the way out! Also checked my crankshaft bolt head size: 21mm. By getting stuck in and ripping gears early on you can glaze the synchros. He suggested I change the oil and replace it with some dexron 3 and be gentle with it for the next 5,000km...said it might unglaze the synchros and come good.So when I told Darren from MT what was happening he pretty much said the same thing that Mal had, they need to be treated nicely for the first 5,000kms. So again, he said to change the oil and be gentle with it until my next service and we'll see how it is then. He said the rip shifter is fine to keep in too, just not to "rip" gears haha.Sooooo yeah...gonna be a long 6 months...
