Fark me. Wish this had come up earlier. I ordered two new nitto invos for my car today.

Thanks for the heads up though.

I too have invos , and after my mates failure i have been keeping an eye on them with no problems.

The other 3 on his car ( and Ralphs i guess) were fine. I think its just a manufacturing fault, effecting a very small percentage of the total production.

Perhaps not surprising given the price and origin of the tire.

^This. My last front set went full life no problem.

I wouldn't be concerned about this issue on the rears as the forces the rears encounter are unlikely to cause an issue. There are other options out there in the Invo price range. Im currently running Hankook Ventus V14's on the rear and rate the above Invo's.

Replace the invo's on the rears with some new invo's 255/35/19.
Grip is very good, but wear a bit quick for my liking
St George Tyres $210ea or 2 for $475 delivered, got to my office within 24hrs of ordering!

Did your original seats have airbags? If so and the leather seats have them too you will be fine.

If your originals didnt have them but the new ones do, you will at least need to see ford in order to 'turn them on' in the computer, perhaps even upgrade the bcm.

And lastly if you had seat airbags but now dont you will get a airbag light on the dash all the time. This option could also affect your insurance and roadworthy.

Thanks for the details.

I didn't have airbags, new ones don't have airbags, so it was a direct plug. Airbag I was referring to is the one above the glove box. Was thinking it maybe didnt deploy if it didnt sense someone in the seat.

Tim, I got two ordered and I plan on putting them on the front. The two Achilles on the front still have good tread on them and so they will shift to the rears. I am reluctant to do this, but the guys at the tire shop said new tires normally go at the front.

I thought this was only for front wheel drive vehicles..... I must be an idiot to nooooooo understand this.

Thanks for the heads up in any case Luke and Steve. This will allow me to keep an eye on them.

I get my alignment done every 6 months. last one was done in June and then the next one will be December/January.

I agree that we should let everyone know of the issues on the forum as that way we know what is happening, even if it is a bad thing. this way others are aware of it and have it at the back of their minds.
