Now to find some Blue Led segments to replace the green and make it all match.(potatophoto)

True Lambda. Was quite easy, just needed to trim the stop ribs that are molded into the cup as the LA1 is slightly deeper than the stock VDO gauge. Stevebag Member 26 Member For: 11y 1m 18d Posted 31/01/14 01:50 AM Share Posted 31/01/14 01:50 AM Middle is safest but not when it doesn't fit properly. The seats (if you buy decent one) are supposed to be well protected even from side impact. I would definitely have preferred to put it in the middle but I sought advice from a certified installer and they said it's still relatively safe in the side as long as it's rear facing. AntHi TurboNoob,The falcons do not have 'ratcheting' seat belts - so they require the use of a gated buckle.....see below attached. Some cars (such asToyota) have a feature where if you pull the belt out entirely, it retracts in 'ratchet mode' - so you can really tighten down the baby seat.Since the fords dont have this 'ratchet' feature built in - you will need to use the gated buckle....essentially you adjust the belt length manually, nice and tight and it remains this length.....and you shouldn't get an movement...But since you went to a qualified fitter - Im assuming you are aware of this - so perhaps the seat shape really is an issue? I have my little bloke in passenger rear position, so havent even tried the centre position.... (I didnt even bother with the middle position - as I just couldnt comprehend getting him in and out when in centre position....)ps....I have 3 kid seats in the back - all in one kind of seat, harness or booster or another......lots of scraped knuckles getting em in and out, but you get by.

But check out the state of the overflow bottle!!I didn't take any in-between pictures, but after siphoning out the coolant from the overflow bottle into two clear water bottles (about 800ml), the coolant was full of little brown flakes and sand. I believe that this is caused from casting sand that is left in the engine block. The entire bottom of the overflow bottle was covered in this calcium/sand brown like residue that can be seen on the side wall in the above photo.I pulled the bottle off and filled it with a mixture of approx 5 parts water and 1 part CLR. Let it sit for about 20 minutes and then shock the bottle vigorously for a good 10 minutes and flushed it out about 5 times. This got rid of about 60% of the residue that was stuck to the inside of the bottle.I didn't have anymore CLR to repeat the above process so I mixed about 10 parts water to 1 part hydroelectric acid only filled half the overflow bottle. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and repeated the shaking and flushing process. The water splashing around in the chambers was enough to remove about 95% of the gunk in the end. After about 5 more flushed with fresh water it was time to put it back in the car. I put the coolant back in that is siphoned, but I strained it through some gauze to catch all the brown residue that was in the water. In the next couple of weeks a full coolant flush with a 50:50 mix of distilled water and Nulon Long-Life Concentrate will be on the cards.
