Did my first ever brake fluid flush.

As I didn't have a large syringe/turkey thingy I had to push all the fluid through - leaving it topped up of course until it was all looking like new fluid.

Took 1.5 hours since I had pretty much no light so was using my phone in one hand and putting hoses on nipples and turning nipples with spanner with other hand.

Bought the 1 man brake and clutch bleed kit from supercheap and it worked out pretty well.

Silly me didn't turn the front wheels when trying to get at the nipples which are in a different spot, and ended up gashing my eyebrow with the spanner as I was trying to undo the nipple bolt. Bit of brake fluid on the spanner and it went flying into my head which was jammed in the wheel arch trying to view what I was doing.

In the end, worked out well and have my first brake flush completed. Braking has improved significantly so my spongey braking was due to fluid needing replacement. Still have the RDA rotors on the way though and will get some Remsa pads to accompany them.

1.5 hours or $40 from a brake store.... hmm lol

Next time I do it in light and it should only take 30 mins.

It was belting down with rain too, so was getting made piss on one side of the car and that didn't help the grip either.

Think I have destroyed a pair of jeans too from the wet/dirt and kneeling down.

Found a lump/bruise on my hand from where I must have belted something while doing the flush. nfi when though lol

LOL defs should.

I can do brake flush, boost solenoid cleaning, throttle body cleaning, air filter changing, brake pad changing, and soon to be rotor changing (we'll see how I go with that one when I get the rotors and pads)

All the essentials of keeping your T going and stopping!

$500 the lot!! (mind you, probably be cheap on them because of the time it would take me to do it all in labor lol)

I'll leave diff bushes to you Luke ;)

The camera would have been funny as haha. Especially when I cracked my eyebrow lol

I can install aux kits too, chuck that on the list.

And F6 CAI, got a battery to boot relo coming hopefully so see how that goes, and an IC kit.

I'm going to be full of tricks come Christmas!
