Haha cheers Paulie, yeah figured degreaser would be the go. Raining in Perth now (havent had rain all July) so makes it a bit harder to do anything :(

Really need a proper garage!

Sounds like you also really need one of those special wrenches to remove the oil filter! they cost F all from Supercheap or you can be tricky and make your own lol. Get a strap of rubber and fold it in half (make sure its more than long enough to go around the filter, then grap the remaining rubber with a set of pliers and turn. That probably doesn't make much sense so just go out and buy one, best thing for changing tight oil filters

Cheers guys, yeah I read about that. Also read you could almost do it with a belt but shops were closed so I couldn't buy one. Will definitely invest in one for the next change!

I've got one of those Freaky. Came in handy for my VR SS back in the day.

How hard are you guys tightening your filters? I only tighten it with one hand and it always unscrews easy next oil change. You putting oil on the rubber ring before screwing it on?

Only suppose to tighten hand tight..
