Mine was tuned to 16psi spikes to 21 and trails down to 18-17 :(

its that using a 12psi actuator with std wastgate?

how far can the std wastegate port go with a 12psi actuator without having boost controll issues?

just looking at a 300rwkw tune, 12-13psi, is a port job required at this level?

Hey guys,

About to do my first round of mods and tune. At first I wasnt going to bother with it, just bolt on the new I/C, dump pipe and intake, get some injectors and and a tune. But now I'm thinking otherwise. I know how the waste gate and actuator works, and was gonna upgrade to a higher pressure, but just after some feedback of if you guys think its worth it. Before and after experiences would be great.

Cheers !!!

Come for a spin in my BA if you want mate, then you can see for yourself first hand what having all the high flow gear and not doing the porting does for the tune! Boooost...

This was pretty much what mine was doing and although the engine was happy with that on the dyno with about 360rwkw my tuner was not happy at all as boost was around 21psi also. Dave did manage to pull it down a peg to 18psi but my power suffered with because of it!

The car does spike here and there also without problems (missfire, backfire etc) but I do have a boost fuse set just in case it goes terminal...
