I know of a shop that charges more per hour if you don't get the gear off them fitted. If you buy the gear from them and get them to install it it works out cheaper for ya.. But either way they are making money off ya cause they might mark up the parts a bit more, but hey that's business..

Yeah seems that whether I get the stuff from Wholesale or different gear local, I'm going to pay about the same price (slightly more if I get the stuff from eastern states).

Have it booked in to be done on Tuesday next week.

Coils as in just plain old coil springs, or coils as in coilovers?

$1100 fitted for all four corners is very cheap & sounds as though you'll just be getting everyday 'run-o-the-mill' family shocks that have been slightly shortened to accept the lowered springs. If you want a handling performance increase, look at some revalved shocks which will run you more $$$

I don't really have any problems with how it handles, so the Munroe GT Sports are just to upgrade the factory stuff on there as the car is at about 95,000kms. I liked the coilovers I had before, but at $2200 I can't justify them when I just drive the car as a daily and not even very hard (msot of the time I have my daughter in the back anyways)

Coils as in King Springs coils, SL/SSL setup

Go with Pete @ WA Suspensions. If he costs a little more it's because he uses only quality gear, does the job 100% & will not hesitate to help should any problem arise after the install. Pretty sure his quoted prices also include a follow up check/allignment, but can't be 100% as I've been a customer for quite some time & get good deals through him.

Yeah he was the $1050 for just the fronts, which were Lovells.

Nothing against them, as I've heard they are the best in Perth, I just don't need to spend anymore for something I'm just looking at doing for a replacement of the OEM gear is all.

Add in the extra/initial wheel allignment & any labour required to re-tighten/re-check components & then assess the quotes side by side. Compare apples with apples

Also do a search on Monroe shocks. Not only on this forum, do a google search & then do the same for lovells.

anything under 500 with a decent wheelalign after is top line of the price scale

400 is common without align

Forgot to add it also comes with wheel align.

I know Lovells are better than Munroes but Munroes are also better than standards and that's all I'm after. Think rbjet has Munroe's too and said he couldn't fault them, he just wanted something more upermarket
