Posted 08/07/12 11:44 AM Share Posted 08/07/12 11:44 AM Hey guys, I have recently bought a 05 ba mk2 and am wondering how much boost the stock/unmodified motor can handle? A mate has a 11 or 12psi actuator that he has off his race car that he isn't using but thought I'd check it out first. Also do they have a separate over boost valve on the manifold somewhere as a back up? Probably not relevant but a vl I had a few years back had One and no one could tell me why it wouldn't boost more then 11psi lol (not comparing it to a vl... Just past experience)Cheers,Jay... Henz Tampon inserted, Auto Acquired, next purchase a new handbag Donating Members 9,946 Member For: 16y 7m 20d Gender: Male Location: Vic Posted 08/07/12 08:41 PM Share Posted 08/07/12 08:41 PM Just bolting on that actuator won't give you 11-12psi. It will send your car into limp mode every time you boot it.

These things arent like you typical subaru or skyline where you can alter the boost and it makes up for it to an extent. The falcon must be tuned to actually allow it and not blow itself to pieces. It's the newest turbo car I've owned, had 2 vl's, a 180sx, a cordia and a et pulsar and you could pretty much just screw it into them (as long as you could keep the fuel up to it) so this is a bit different but learning fast off all you guys
