Anyway, I can speak from experience ... so far 13,000k and not a glitch (worth mentioning).
Henry Member 180 Member For: 21y 11m 22d Gender: Not Telling Posted 23/12/03 05:20 AM Share Posted 23/12/03 05:20 AM Yep Henry is back for another whingeHambo, get a WRX or something.I have had my car since April and have reported a vibration at 100kmh+ since about the second week and I have been mucked around unmercifully by 2 dealers and fomoco. I have had the regional technician in the car and he agreed that there was a problem. That was 8 weeks ago.About 2 weeks ago they finally booked it in, had it for 6 days while they sent the tailshaft away for a rebuild. They didnt have the drivetrain balancing machine in, so now I have a car that vibrates even worse.I have now been told that it will be the end of January until it can be balanced. If that doesnt work, I guess it will be another 6 weeks before they do something else. What makes all this worse is that they say we will call you when .................. then when that date expires you have to chase them.Add to that the brake shudder, creaky steering, loose heat shield, 3 wheels that couldnt be balanced and hence needed replacing, leaky water pump seals and starting problems and you can see why I reckon a $40K MY04 rex is a steal.Fomoco - may the bluebird of happiness crap all over your Christmas cake Falcon "I've had enough of this"

I personally dont think ill ever buy a new ford again, mainly because I dont think they will be able to fix my rough idle problem, and I can see them coming to me with excuses.Dont get me wrong guys, I love my car, and I love what ford has done with this model, im just getting the sh*ts with constent clunks when I change gears and the feeling that I spent 50K on a lemon.Hopefully ford will prove me wrong. There is no reason the dealer can't fix them. You just have to be persistent. I know how frustrating this can be but rest assured that when the problems are sorted for you that you will have a great car and get plenty of enjoyment from it.I've had a major problem with my T3 since the first day and still not resolved after 22 months and 65,000km. Like you, it makes me say I'll never buy another Ford. But, apart from this gearbox problem the rest of the car is fantastic. I'm just waiting till either Ford do come up with a fix or I can get enough mulla together to just buy a new gearbox for it myself. If it happens that I end up having do this then I will definitely NEVER purchase another Ford. I might even SELL the five I have sitting out in the drive just as further protest.Anyway, just hang in there and good luck mate.

Poor bas*ard had such a hard time with Ford, he now drives a Hilux..... they must have driven him insane.
Guest blower Guests Posted 23/12/03 09:03 AM Share Posted 23/12/03 09:03 AM Hey Henry & XR6ISM, be careful here, negative comments about these turbo heaps upset a few of the more sensitive egos here. Be prepared to be flamed big time by some. Bet you London to a brick this will get flamed - lol.I agree with your sentiments entirely. The only thing worse than getting the car with this many problems is getting it back from its first service with noting done, and in some cases worsened. It occured to me that this newsgroup would be an obvious first port of call for would be purchasers (and despite some opinions expressed by others here, I think it is an excellent and most interesting resource), therefore they have a right to see "the good, the bad and the ugly" with respect to the Falcon turbo. Some might even suggest that someone with complaints may just have a lemon - wonder why throught the length and breadth of this group there are so many lemons!!! Suprising the number of pissed of people here, and surprising the commanlity of complaints. Lemon? I don't think so. AU in drag - more than likely!Good luck guys - I share your frustration and dislike of the product.I've had enough of this
