Just wondering if I'm going down hill or is it an upgrade replacing centre muffler with duel hotdogs? Booked in to get it done tomorrow ($200).. Is it gonna sound sh!t and will it affect power at all? Car is tuned if it makes difference..

Car exhaust is currently 4" dump and hiflo cat and stock from there back.

Also getting king springs put in all round Tuesday morning ($450 supplies fitted) and wondering how many mm I could drop before rear camber goes walk abouts? Was hoping to go about 20mm front & rear and not run into camber or shock problems...

Cheers, Josh.

Have a read through the centre muffler removal thread but by now you've probably already had a look at your car.

Shouldn't have any camber issues.

Yeah I found that thread yesty thanks mate. Car sounds alot raspier but has alot of gurgling on down shifts.. Not sure if I'm a fan yet. Noticed zero performance change.

Springs go in tomorrow. Had to order them from King springs to be 20mm coz APPARENTLY they come standard as 30mm lower than factory.

See how I go I guess

Might change a little before the hot dogs soot up a bit?

Personally love the gurgle but not over the top..when your giving it stick and downshifting before a turn love it. Might be a different story if its doing just putt putt down the road. Guess it all depends too on how flowing the exhaust and supporting mods (ie no muffler, hot dogs, bigger exhaust etc)

haha yeah it does sound good when your having a go through the twisties.. No drone at all on highway too, sounds quite as once your up to cruising speeds!!

I was a bit disappointed to see the original muffler had perfect internals.. Was hoping I would find a collapsed baffle as the car has lost a fair chunk of power since the tune.

That's still my guess too mate... Even after I returned car to exhaust shop and they inspected & gave cat the thumbs up.

There is a tinny sort of restriction noise at idle when u back off after a little rev. Thought the centre muffler for sure before today!!

Anyway - See how it goes with the new hot dogs and king springs this weekend at Marulan track day
