pro346 Member 63 Member For: 13y 1m 13d Posted 05/07/12 03:58 AM Share Posted 05/07/12 03:58 AM Hi ive got a 07 bf ute that makes 309rwkw, it has a xforce 4 inch dump, big cat twin 2.5 system, nizpro cooler, id 1000 injectors, walbro pump and a standard opened up air box, if I get an intake plenum and a race air box how much more power will it make? Would I be better off getting a surge tank and e85 tune instead? I would've thought you'd be making more than 309 atm to be honest. What boost is it running ?Next I would have thought air box, so your piping is shorter, then perhaps a surge tank. E85 depends what state you live in. In VIC it's a pain in the ass to get unless your buying it in drums and then pretty costly. Also valve springs may need replacing in the future but not atm I wouldn't have thought. Mine were starting to show signs of float with 18psi and over 370rwkw so I think you'll be right but each car is different. Also look into a turbo port and stronger actuator. Slash Donkey Dick Member 801 Member For: 15y 2m 5d Gender: Male Posted 05/07/12 06:55 AM Share Posted 05/07/12 06:55 AM You need larger injectors, twin pumps & fuel line that is compatible with Ethanol to run E85, not just a surge tank. Cost adds up if you do it properly...Seeing as you already have ID1000's I'd be looking at twin 044 pumps mounted in the tray with a generic 3L surge tank, -6 teflon braided dual lines to a PW twin feed rail, aeromotive reg with -6 single teflon braided return line & a PW airbox tuned on E85. If it where my car I'd make a surge with 044, add a cold air intake, change the wastegate actuator and valve springs then retune Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/80844-plenum-race-box-how-much-more-hp/#findComment-1263576 Share on other sites
