My question is, how important is it to have. What exactly does it do? Am I going to get better sound quality?To me it just seems like something they try and sell that makes no difference. Also helps to get rid of rattles like your parcel shelf may have with a sub.Depending on what gear and how much your spending will determine how important it is but every bit helps. I'm wondering if the mirror pops out and if it does put some blue tack or something to make it more stiff. The way the rear end is mounted makes it really difficult toinsulate the noise and vibes.I know of people who have thrown tons of dynomat only to change the noise, not lessen it.You can get a leaf stuck in your front splash gaurd and it rattles and flickers like mad. A bloody leaf. Tinnie heaps of shoite.You need to use a mix of tiles, matting and good old plain goo to get rid of it. The tiles need to be well placed to grab the vibes. The Dynomat deapens the noise so it's not as noticable. It works better at keeping your sound systems noise in and clear then deadening the road noise. By makign it a deaper sound, a more solid sound.
