If I had of given them a bit of lip I'm sure they would've got a tow truck and left me out there, about half he from home. Yeh I lost my licence a month later but agree with most others, don't give them an attitude and they'll be lenient. I know it could've been a lot worse! I have full respect for the position "Police Officers" hold and the services they provide as employed by the government. I have been pulled over many many times by the police. None for any major reason. I have NEVER given any lip to police, I have NEVER treated them with disrespect, but I have also NEVER got out of a fine, no matter how small or insignificant. I don't fail attitude tests, I never admit fault (as soon as you do, they are obligated to fine you, especially for speeding), but I don't get away with anything, and it frustrates me when I hear about other people getting away with things just by being nice, all I offer is full respect... but I'm certainly no angel with my right foot (my numerous speeding fines are a testament to this). I have not found a "highway patrol" officer who does NOT have an attitude problem. What is most certainly a testament to how annoying they are, is that people I know who are good friends within the police force believe that Highway Patrol officers are the most annoying/biggest ego's in the entire force. The EPA are a strange bunch, I have also been "pinched" badly (loud exhaust) by the EPA at one stage, they had no care to "hit you hard" like police do when they have pulled you over... Very black and white, You're either over their "limits" or not, and you'll feel the pain (monetarily etc) if you are outside the boundaries. They must love the ability to actually dole out punishment when the EPA was only ever able to punish companies before the road laws came allowed them to get a foot in the door for general motorists.

Posted 15/07/12 02:08 PM Share Posted 15/07/12 02:08 PM I definitely think first impressions count when it comes to the popo. you get both the power hungry ones, and the understanding down to earth cops.Went through a booze bus not too long ago, and had the d**khead with the glowing wand that ushers people into the bay literally scream at me because apparently I didnt slow down quick enough.. he then made me go into a side street and they called a highway patrol car to search/check my car.Another time I went through a booze bus I was made 20minuetes late because they decided to drug test me and check my car.I was the only one they did that to out of a busy Melbourne road.It was a lady officer that they got to test me, she was actually nice to the point of asking me to play music out of my car while we waited for the test. One thing she said that stuck with me is that: "initial roadside drug tests cost roughly $30 worth of tax payer money to perform, so we only check people who we suspect are on drugs".I have never touched a drug in my life. I believe it was because I was a p-plater

He said I will be back with some infringements! 10mins later I got out of my car walked up to his and demanded he hurry up as I had places to go! BetYou can't guess what his response was? " that's it " expired rego label $88 lights likely to dazzle $88 exhaust not meet ADR requirements $88 pod filter $88 and 1hour defect notice!Lesson learnt be rude and your gonna get raped!90% of hw cops I have dealt with a c00k suckers!90% of Gd's are great!I think the rude and power tripping ones need to retire and do a job they will actually enjoy.I drive my xr6 everywhere lowered, exhaust tint and have been fine free for 5 years ........... O apart from the hw patrol getting me for using fog lights no warning because I was warned 4 year ago..... $88 If I come across this so called EPA blitz I think all they could do me for is having a intercooler mod and pod filter! EPA state one modifaction only. I always wanted to be a cop and have studied to join the force sometime in the near future I will and I know I won't be like the majority of them My 2c worth.

Ive got a record for police harassment and assault, evading police, concealing weapons, and when I told the cops what a bunch of c$#ts they were, and how I was gonna be late to onsell my gear, I really feel like they werent treating me with the respect I deserved.....Bunch of pricks.
