hey guys

I have an 07xr6t

bought it fitted with orbital gas injection

and a high flow cat, and dual 2.5" exhaust

now the orbital system can't be tuned, so I can't get my check engine light coded out, nor can I get it tuned as the orbital system locks the ecu..., if I wish to use gas, which of course I do.

so my question is,

will fitting a stock cat back in, clearing codes, get rid of my check engine light?

at the moment I'm just clearing the code whenever it pops up with a bluetooth obd thingy.

any high flow cats that don't throw the light?

I'm happy to lose power and go to stock, cause that lights bloody annoying, and I'm not going for more power anyway!

A stock cat should stop the light coming on if it is the correct cat for the car and there are no other issues.

Any high flow cat will most likely cause the light to come on.

how much power roughly( I appreciate how hard it is to estimate) is gained on an untuned, cat back, typhoon air box only other mods bfII.. from the cat..

are we talking like 3 kws and a bit more responsiveness on the buttometer?

or like 10-15 kws?

if its minimal ill just ditch it.

any possible gain from the exhaust etc that increases boost will have the ecu pulling the boost back to factory programmed levels due to the closed loop boost control, so gains will be very minimal, but the drama is that if it has to try to control it too much it will shut all boost down and cause and engine light to come on until the car is stopped and restarted.
