Hey everyone, been trying to figure out a miss I have at idle and also when I rev to around 1500rpm in neutral the engine is missing slightly. Doesn't seem to hesitate at all when driving normally and boosts fine, just at idle and when revving in neutral, changed o2 sensor no change, already changed fuel filter as well. Thinking must be a coil on its way out? Also car struggles to kick over sometimes like its flooded.

Bf manual only 60k on the clock. Your thoughts?

A coil will normally break down under load so if your not having any issues when boosting it it more than likely isnt your coils.

On the front of the hard to kick over, hows your battery.

Do the tps reset, hold accelerator pedal right down to the floor, and turn the keys like your trying to start it, it won't start but keep cranking it for about 10secs. Then obviously stop, take foot off and turn it on.

Quick thing to do and see if it helps.

^ THAT does not reset the TPS. It resets the Cam phasers. The pcm carries out its on tps cycle test when you power up the car.

Haha I think Ralph has to correct someone everytime there is a question bout a tps, maybe we need a sticky about how to reset CAM PHASERS not TPS!! But thanks anyway (tried that just incase and still no good), plugs are only bout 20,000k old so doubt it would be that.

Can you pull any codes out of it? It could be a multitude of issues, sounds like and air leak at the manifold but without proper diagnosis everybodies taking pot shots in the dark
