Look at a Monza cooler for a BA and say a Plazmaman or Rapid stage 1. They are all similar in shape size and design yet one struggles to cool anymore than standard boost and the other two are good up to and over 300rwkw.

But when comparing to a factory cooler, anything is better. The above mentioned coolers provide far better fin design, therefore greater surface/cooling area. However when using factory boost levels you will not see their best work. The better a cooler flows (faster), in general terms usually reduces its ability to cool charge air. The better it cools the charge air the greater the pressure drop, again in general terms. These Ebay coolers are cheap because the bloke welding them is making a dollar a day. Many, many cooler cores are imported from China due to production costs. I have seen a 9 second VL running a Monza cooler. Please don't get me wrong, as I believe that the aftercooler is one of the best mods you can do, and a quality cooler is always a better option. But these Monza coolers are bloody good value for money, and are getting better. Cheers

I remember the days when a few of us boys would put money in to buy a truck cooler, then cut it up and make a few for all our cars, didnt effect any of our cars back then, some of my mates were even running big power??might just go to show the same as everything is that the name is what your buying...the only thing that gets to me is that people now are charging a s@#t load for brand coolers then they were a while ago, especially for our cars now.knowing full well that they dont make off shelf parts..only in oz,if they had parts for these cars in the states it would be different I think.

I had a monza on my ute back in the day and it looked nothin like the one in those pictures. neither did any of the other 4 coolers I have owned. I actually think they forgot to clean it. I would be sending it straight back for an exchange at the least. I once bought a new pwr cooler that they 4got to chemically clean. I took it back they apologised and gave me a newy.
