Hey fellas,

I noticed this new stepped intercooler that's only recently come on the market, so I thought I may aswell be the guinea pig seeing as im in the market for one.

The quality doesn't seem very good, a few dodgy welds, and the internals dont look real flash, the fins fold like paper and it wasn't the easiest thing to install,

it didn't require any cutting, but had to bend each of the mounting points to get it to fit. Definitely looks the part, still a couple of months off getting the tune

so I'll let you know how it goes performance wise down the track. Attached are some photos.

fark that's a huuuuge step backwards from standard. huge risk aswell on a motor that's probably done hardly any work. why on earth would you pay 60k for a car then put it all in jeopardy by installing a piece of sh*t like this ??

Not really new, theyve been avalible from start of 2011..

Whats it like on the car?

Really? I've never come across it before or seen anyone with one. Obviously im the only person silly enough to try it.

Dunno where you shop but fg xr has never been close to 60k..

What he said...

There is another guy on here with one and did 3 runs in a row on the dyno one after another and got, 310rwks, 308Rwks and 308rwks on the last one.

If you're reffering to fgxod, im 95% certain that was with the older model monza, not the new stepped one, I was talking to him the other day.

Jeez mate that's a real big call. Hoping you might explain the huge risk factor. Because I reckon for the money its a cracker.Cheers
