Surely the turbo model needs to come out they basically got all the parts off the sti and a sutiable box just has to be madeDid anyone watch the video I posted?

thatguy Member 16 Member For: 12y 5m 5d Posted 06/09/12 12:21 AM Share Posted 06/09/12 12:21 AM (edited) Toyota is apparently working on a supercharged version NOT a turbo version. Subaru might make a turbo version but the clearances will be tight since the motor is lower in the chassis than the WRX and that's pretty much where the turbo goes.Subaru only has 10% of production even though they are making the things. They thought it wouldn't be a success so signed an agreement that Toyota had to take 90% of them. That has backfired spectacularly. All the Australian 2012 Toyota stock all sold out last month and the Subaru stock sold out in 2 hours. This car is essentially the exact opposite of a turbo Falcon. (ie. Japanese small car, 2 door, low power, great handling, rigid chassis, high reliability, all about corners and not about straight line stats) For it to even get a luke warm reception on these forums shows it is a very good thing. You definitely wouldn't buy one if you were a bit precious about the size of your little fella.Yes, they need about 30% more power and 50% more torque. Obviously needs forced induction of some sort. If you can get 150rwkw, that is the same as a Falcon with 225rwkw = enough. Edited 06/09/12 12:22 AM by thatguy
