Sozz $700 was including a trans cooler swell...

Depends if u have the steel pan or not... if it is then u need a new filter and gasket which is about $150.... plus 15-17l to flush it properly and fill

If u have plastic pan u need to buy a new pan coz the pan and filter are one unit however u have the option to swap to a steel pan and have a separate filter but the u will need to buy around 20 new bolts to fit new steel pan from memory.

Used gulf western oil but there are a lot of people who used different fluids .. but the gulf seems to be going well... it was about $200 for the oil I think

Alrighty I'll start prepping for a auto service. Where do you source the steel pans cheapest?

I'll probably source the parts and gulf western oil myself then Get mv automatics in Adelaide to perform the service and flush..

A few on here have mentioned motospecs as being quite competitive and there oil is cheap for the lifeguard also- http://www.motospecs...ex.php?page=atp

Let us know how you go with the tune, gearbox etc as I have an 08 F6X but my turbo is the small compressor like the FG XR6T's!

Highly recommended mv automatics here in adelaide, took 2 hours and 200 bucks. I supplied gulf western oil and steel pan kit.

Awesome improvement!! Much smoother changes, less of a lag between the first to second shift under power, no lurch going back to first when coming to a stop. Very happy camper.

Although since having the tune done by Bruce Heinrich the fuel economy has worsened, Iv given it a few tanks for me to be used to the added power and drive a little more sedately.

I was under the impression I would get a resonable gain in economy?

Don't know if I'm maybe fusy

Don't know if I'm maybe A bit too fusy but the power gains don't seem that great over standard.

I put a full tank when I dropped the car to him and the gauge had not moved, was ment to be "road tuned" but I have a gut feeling he may have loaded up a guess map of a car with similar mods and left it at that..

?

Cheers

I tell u right now bruce WOULD NOT just load a tune in the car park and let u go mate, terrys are thirsty and once modded u gain power definately and economy is really a thing for the highway to be honest , if your feeling the new power your also using more fuel, drive it off boost everywhere u might see economy because it couldnt be done on a dyno it will have a very fat fuel tune ( this is safety)

if your not happy take your aelf down to willall racing as the have a 4x4 dyno and see what they can do ( it will be more than the saving u will nett of the economy that could be hadin 2 years )
