My understanding is torque tags are a software setting to lengthen gearbox life, basically reducing power during those damaging shifts. No physical changes are involved (ignoring line pressure settings and other stuff I know very little about!).

I think its all got to do with who tunes it like said above, Dave did mine at CPV in Mackay and I love it I will never ever go back to a stock zf, 400kw and it gets a hammering but only on ordinary street tyres...

I had mine tweaked three times but is spot on now. Crisp changes but not harsh at all. It was poo after the engine tune - hung onto gears horribly. The ZF tune corrected that. So yes, I'd do it, but get somebody that has experience.

it would be great if they could leave it stock while in "D" and then only tune it when in performance mode. the best of both worlds...

cheers, andy

That is apparently an option to have different settings in all 3 modes.

Hey Glouver1 what do u think of your zf tune sins I'm going to the same place you got yours done

Mine is fine. It clunks into 2nd gear sometimes which is annoying at a leisurely pace. I think the software is not perfect so a bit hit and miss. They can go as hard or soft as you like so depends on your application. It does help with longevity of clutches though. I know this hasn't helped much. Really up to you bud.
