Or more likely a softer engine tune and trans tune for street in slot 1, and a higher power/harder shifting combo in slot 2. Valet tune slot 3, or maybe a suss fuel tune if you're like me and drive long distances where only stale 95 may be available. The XCAL3 needs a firmware update or something to allow it to tune the ZF first, then the tuner can go to work loading the tunes.Someone correct me if I'm wrong? I cringe taking off waiting for it to go into 2nd sometimes can take away from the rest of the car but I loaded the stock trans file in for a day and it was sh*t. Gotta take the good with the bad Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/80658-zf-to-tune-or-not-to-tune-that-is-the-question/page/5/#findComment-1257971 Share on other sites

And change when it changes down gears? Like in sports mode, shift down earlier, mainly when going back to first? Im not after clunky hard shifting but want prolonged trans life and earlier shift to first predominantly in sports mode. I'd like similar to what you describe. May add the fart back in between changes. Heard a golf GTI take off hard yesterday. Gear changes sound awesome with fart in between. I believe u can do it with a bit of torque reduction on change. It will save the box and basically no difference in performance. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/80658-zf-to-tune-or-not-to-tune-that-is-the-question/page/5/#findComment-1258525 Share on other sites
