I believe it may need a bit more than just hand tightening. The oil light shouldn't come on at all. The only thing I can think of is if you have a high km engine the 5-40w may be a little too light.

Sounds ok if it goes out quickly, as said above the oil may be a lil light and takes a second to pressure up.

whats a bfgf ute? Assuming no other pending mechanical issues, change of oil brand/viscosity, high KM engine,partially blocked turbo/oil pressure switch supply screen....

Everybody see where im going with this....?

So does the oil light just come on at reds then stays on for a second once the car starts or does it go out then flick back on for a second, if its the later my tuner said that's the oil switch for the turbo supply line and you filter might be getting blocked if the first one that's normal.

It may be normal, but certainly isn't good!

Replace the turbo oil feed line with a earls external filter and braided line.

Avoid the ones with clear coat on the lines.

Oil light should come on with the reds. This is just to tell you the lamp is ok. Turns off straight away once car is started and shouldn't come back on.
