Guest XR09 Guests Posted 29/06/12 07:24 PM Share Posted 29/06/12 07:24 PM (edited) Megane gets all that, and deals available. I test drove one and am in love with it. You don't think front or rear drive with them. There not a drift car lol. KInda hard to do that out of a skid pan in a Fwd. But they have oversteer at will with lift off throttle. You can turn one inside out under throttle too.I am a realist though. I think back to my WRX, RS Escort and Alfa days. They are a hoot, hell fun. Almost livable as a daily.I cant drive on slowly ??? Their too much fun, and that's why I have an auto now. My license is my work, ands I goota work. I dont want a real job :(In the taxi I can cruise, In the wet you don't have much choice lol. One of those little beasts will have my license shredded in weeks me thinks Edited 29/06/12 07:24 PM by XR09

If not I don't want a bar of it

If there is only 2 to haul around and u want something that is zippy in twisties and handles well then xr6t is not the car for u. There are a heap of pocket rocket hatches around from $40k upwards that will put a smile on your face. Remember it does not have to be fast, but it has to feel fast. To back up my case I took my GF's kid for a drive in a 10 yo Alfa 147 with a massive 110 kw. First thing he said when he got out was "wow that's fast. Much faster than your Ford!" Wtf!!!! All about perception. Btw I did want to beat his head in after that comment, but refrained.

Take it up some twisties and the amount of grip and composure it has is scary, and with the mild power output means you can actually drive it hard without doing silly speeds before it gets on the limit. Spinning Donating Members 348 Member For: 15y 6m 25d Posted 14/02/13 11:34 AM Share Posted 14/02/13 11:34 AM One of my friends has been a Golf GTi owner for many years - having come across from the Peugeot 206 GTi ... He now believes now having own the Golf R for just under 12mths - that he being selling the Golf R for the proposed Citroen DS4R - reported 191kw out of a 1.6 - turbo / forced four. I tried for many years to understand the small engine forced four - and recently demo a Subaru WRX R , back to back with a Golf R and Megane RS , and although you can not deny that they re fun to drive in traffic , and in a spirited mode, I just hate that unless you re on the gas - they re pretty much sterile ... Agree - we all sort something different from our cars - and I guess that is what makes us so fascinating!!! For now I am glad - so glad I got what I love - and I am sure that will be true of you once you decide on your next steer.. Happy shopping

The new RS looks like a revamp of the very first Dihatsu charades......Ugly
