Not sure if its the turbo or engine related. It only occurs when the turbo is spinning up. It is ticking noise that increases in frequency with engine speed. It started when the cold air intake pipe fell off the front of the turbo.Thought it might have been an exhaust leak but I have tightened the manifold bolts (some were really loose) and it hasnt fixed it. The car still makes boost fine and there is close to no play in turbine shaft on the turbo. Cannot hear the noise at idle. Tried reverting to stock tune and it is still there.Any ideas anyone? Car is standard bar 10psi generic tune and cat back exhaust. It is a BF MKii.Cheers

What'd one birdie say to the other birdie? "Cheep cheep cheep"...Anyways.. You sure the noise is turbo related? Check your pulleys.. Could be a bung bearing..

I would start by checking the blades on the compressor wheel for damage

If it was turbo related I think it would be a quicker ticking noise. Im hoping for a belt bearing or something. Generic tune is a temporary thing for a couple of weeks until after I have finished putting all my other goodies on. I have been running the stock tune anyway because I know its sh*t
