Looking at replacing my turbo wanting to get into the 400s it a fg f6 with all the supporting mods looking at a gtx 3582r 3566 and a Mr turbo unit with the 62 mm wheel and .7 cover that's there billet wheel. All around the same price. Garrets said the gtx would be better than the 3566.After your thoughts and who has used what and if still internally gated thanks.

Yeah +1 for the GTX. Direct bolt on to stock manifold and exhaust. Just have to change intake pipe to 4" and hotside to 2 1/2". Good for 400-450rwkw easy. I'm making 400 on 17psi with the GTX on a BF.

The gtx has a 62.5mm wheel and a 0.7 cover. The Mr turbo option sounds very similar. Consider using the stock sized billet wheel in the 0.5 cover for a true direct replacement and the HTA GT35 is another option if wanting a 0.7 cover

The 3576 has a 58mm inducer and a 76mm exducer whereas the HTA GT3582r has a 58mm inducer whilst maintaining the 82mm exducer size of the stock GT3582r. Both good turbo's with billet wheels, but the HTA will have a bit more top end potential.

What is the mod people are doing to their stock fg f6 turbos changing the front housing and wheel? Aren't they getting up around 450rwkw?
