I actually like the ricey big rear mufflers u see on 200sx's but those mufflers usually make u car more noticable to cops. I like the look of my aps exhaust but would love to have two mufflers our both sides, nothing beats the look of that.check the new wheels mag.

and the original exhaust tips are pretty good as they are IMO.

Yep, what he said. Love the flat oval tip!

That is the main reason I am not a fan of the APS system, you lose the tip! Even though you could probably get it changed over, after paying X amount why should I?

Not a fan of the Jap mufflers, I reckon they should leave them on Jap cars. Even then sometimes they look terrible. :hrmm:

Go for it I rekon. I think the Turbos need a bit less "family" and some more "performance". Some people mite not like the jap style exhausts but theres no arguing youll stand out with the looks, not to mention the power gains to be had.

I say leave the big tips to the rexes, 200sx etc. I have an Sti with dual 4" tips, so why copy that approach.

On the Ford I'm not a fan of changing the look at the back, I wanted to keep the Ford looking stock, so no-one, especially the police, and rta, may want to pick on it, or think that it's mechanically modified. Change the muffler and immediately everyone knows it's modified.

So I kept the tip but had the muffler rebuilt and the whole exhaust in front of the tip rebuilt.

The stock rear muffler has a 2 2" internal pipes, so it's restricive compared to the centre section which is 2 * 2.25". This is what it looks like when gutted.

The new muffler has been rebuilt with 2 2.5' perforated pipes, so it flows well and doesn't sound too loud; it has the same external dimensions and retains the stock tip.

Pic attached.

On the road pic (thanks Ken), it look stock, and you'd never know there's 341rwkw hidden.

If anyone wants more info on this exhaust, please email me at brian_c_lord@yahoo.com.au
