I like the look of my aps exhaust but would love to have two mufflers our both sides, nothing beats the look of that.check the new wheels mag. Yep, what he said. Love the flat oval tip! That is the main reason I am not a fan of the APS system, you lose the tip! Even though you could probably get it changed over, after paying X amount why should I?Not a fan of the Jap mufflers, I reckon they should leave them on Jap cars. Even then sometimes they look terrible. Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/8046-big-ass-jap-style-muffler/page/2/#findComment-75557 Share on other sites

Guest SidewaysXR6T Guests Posted 25/12/03 12:20 PM Share Posted 25/12/03 12:20 PM Go for it I rekon. I think the Turbos need a bit less "family" and some more "performance". Some people mite not like the jap style exhausts but theres no arguing youll stand out with the looks, not to mention the power gains to be had. Guest NUMB Guests Posted 26/12/03 03:19 AM Share Posted 26/12/03 03:19 AM I say go for it dude, theirs NOTHING wrong with a Jap Exhaust. aslong as it is designed correctly a cannon or something at the back would make her sound even better and pick up a few extra kw while your at it Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/8046-big-ass-jap-style-muffler/page/2/#findComment-76581 Share on other sites

Change the muffler and immediately everyone knows it's modified. So I kept the tip but had the muffler rebuilt and the whole exhaust in front of the tip rebuilt. The stock rear muffler has a 2 2" internal pipes, so it's restricive compared to the centre section which is 2 * 2.25". This is what it looks like when gutted.Brian Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/8046-big-ass-jap-style-muffler/page/2/#findComment-76587 Share on other sites
