tonight, we were driving and noticed a clunk noise coming from the boot (which was empty). My dad asked me to post this and see if anyone else experienced this. does anyone know what it might be?

AFAIK it's normal. I get the clunk too. Whenever I change gears and let the clutch quivcker than usual and sometimes when I floor it ;) It's the diff and apparently a feature of LSD (apparently) :(

Is the clunk on gear changes Glenn?

If not it may be a loose suspension component, get him to swing by the dealer it'll only take a tech a couple of minutes to diagnose.

I had asumed it was part of the control arm suspension. Got it a lot when getting used to clutch and g'box but don't seem to get it now.

Let the boss lady drive it though and my god did she make it go clunk clunk clunk. Sounds a bit like tramp rods connecting.

Have had the 3,000klm service and they said nowt about it, and they must have driven it hard to average 45 klms/100klm.

I had assumed it was just a down side of the new suspension.

Am I wrong?

Should it not happen?

Do any manual owners not have it?
