So I went to wsid last night to test out the addition of a stock turbo catback on my n/a, and got 3 runs in, 14.7 with t/c on, 14.60 without t/c, and then 14.44@ 98mph holding third instead of changing to 4th, just made it over the line before rev cut....

So pretty happy with the times being manual, and not a bad gain from a $33 ebay stock turbo exhaust with $150 fitting....

Half tank Bp98- k/n panel, no restrictor in airbox, stock fg turbo catback, no burnouts, 2.1 60fts 35psi in tyres.

Previous best was 14.9 before exhaust with t/c on and 2.3 60fts

Mate - that is damn quick for a manual and some lose change mods. Impressive effort IMO. How does the car sound being an N/A with the turbo exhaust?

Its a touch louder than a turbo but nothing major still very quiet on idle only minor burble, only really gets noticeable when under load at around peak torque so 3k rpm, almost stock n/a at crusing speeds light throttle. I am actually very happy that it is so quiet but flows so well.

The turbo exhaust is complete from where it would bolt onto turbo cat pipe, and my n/a exhaust was cut so the small resonator was deleted, a larger flange was welded on to match the 3 inch from 2.25. Bit of a sleeper exhaust, the car has picked up power everywhere and revs much cleaner, extractors and cat would improve it again, but not sure that will happen, needs brake discs, and some bilsteins first!

Well done mate looks like she needs some 4.11's to get her into 4th with some distance to go so you don't get penalised for the gearshift into 4th right at end of track slowing the ET...good idea holding third:)

A shorter diff ratio may help with easier launching as well on the clutch.
