Hey guys, as the title says I get a strange "clunk" noise when taking off at low speed. It's only noticeable when the car has been sitting for maybe 3+ hours, and in drive you take off and at around 20kph there's a very defined thud or clunk from the front end. My short amount of research before work this morning has told me that some believe that's the ABS self testing? Can anyone confirm this? Or is it something I need to tell me mechanic about.

Varies in volume, some days it's subtle and others it's quite loud.

Thanks in advance

Is it a succession of clunks? Like 4 or 5 in a row? Or just one single clunk?

4 or 5 would be ABS self test, one single is something different I believe...

lol Paulie.

yeah it's just the 1 clunk and always around the same point. between 15-30kph, I just thought id ask out of paranoia given im convinced there's something wrong with my car lol.

last night I gave it a mighty boot full in perf D and high in the revs there was a weird noise that I cant really explain. im inclined to think it may have been trac control as it was still active. im not game to turn it off just yet due to some "interesting" experiences in the past.

got a trans flush/heat exchanger change and pipe kit with a 2nd hand F6 cooler going in next week.
