First drag meet I have ever been too and managed a best of 10.670 at 128.71 mph with a 1.53 60ft. Im f-ing stoked. Revs were up around the 4 grand mark and I just watched the boost gauge. With the foot brake and the hand brake on I managed to leave the line with just shy of 15psi. I have never felt anything jump like this thing did in my life. I asked my mate/tuner up here in darwin (who has a bf xr6t and has done a 11.2), what was a good drag radial and he suggested I go for the mt ets, as he had them.I dropped in to a tyre dealer that supplies advans for my circuit car and his quote was throught the roof.So I jumped on ebay and had a look. By memory the cheapest mt et's in the 275/40/17 profile was around the $700 before post.I then saw these nitto nt05r's in the same 275/40/17 profile at $460 a set and thought stuff it, even if they arent as good I can go through two sets of these for the price of one. When I fitted them and showed my tuner he said "well I havent seen any other car run them but they should be decent, you should of got the mt et's but as they have been proven many times"I started to think mabey I have probly wasted my money but on the road they were defently alot better tyre then the street tyres I had been running. Also at $520 delivered from "wheel tech" on ebay, I wasnt too fussed.Well when I got to the strip, fark me. They were awsome. 1.53 60ft was my best of the night. My first two propper runs were in the 1.6 then my last two were 1.5's. I believe I could of got nearly a flat 1.5 60ft, or even crack into 1.4's.Thinking back now, I wish I gave it too much off the line and smoked em, just to know the limit of the tyres.Through out the night I just got quicker and quicker every run. My tuner mate who has alot of experenance in drag racing was standing just behind my car watching the tyres every run and he said it could of got off the line a tad harder even in my 1.5 60fts.So in the end my mate will now be purchasing some nitto's to replace his old and hard mt's
