My car (BFii lpgtaxi with a mild 290rwkw auto) is going back in again soon the get the rear and ripped out for the 4th time. First time was to fit new bushes, the second was faulty 'comfort' Superpro which the replaced with solids, which were horrible in a daily so came out. This time it seem the front/outer comfort bushes are collapsing (visually one can see this), but the movement is excessive with lots of thud. Superpro/Fulcrum have been quite good, fixing it each time.

They now have a newer voided design which is suppose to be stronger but not be so harsh like solid ones. Anyone tried these and can let us know what they are like? The solids were horrible and suitable only for a drag or track car IMHO so I hope they aren't anywhere near this.

I don't really get why they haven't lastesd, the original factory bushes were only a bit cracked at 130,000+ kms! These last lot have done maybe 15,000km. The car rarely gets driven hard, certainly not abusively, and a lot of the driving is highway/long distance.

Here's hoping these latest ones are a long term fix.

This is interesting...I've had a comfort fail on me, but it was in a 430kw car

If Fulcrum doing the installation for you?

Original install was by another suspension mob, they replaced the faulty ones (these totally died in a week of driving to work) with solids the first tmie (rep for Superpro said too/supplied them apparently, but I dunno if it was truly superpro's choice or the suspension mob fobbed that one off once I went back with how bad the solids were) In any case I wasn't consulted. Since then Fulcrum has taken care of it all, so I can't fault them there. I'd like to think they'd see 100,000's of kms given what the stockers got, otherwise why even sell an after market product?

I'm getting them to replace the inner forward control arm bushes (up front) also, it doesn't chew tyres but they showed me with a bar just how much slop there was in these (common apparently). They recon the rest all on the car are really good still

Thanks for the feedback. :spoton:

I've had the comfort spec ones in my BA for around 25,000 k's now and there have been no problems (6spd manual, 373kw) but the centre bush is a little different on mine
