I read it somewhere on here but I cant find it - whats the differences in sounds that come from a 4'' turbo side intake and just replacing the turbo 'air muffler' pipe? nothing wrong with doing both?

Massive difference. Replacing the muffler keeps the air box so it's still fairly quiet but doing a 4" turbo side intake will give you just about the loudest intake noise possible.

I have the 4"

vanda has the replacement pipe.

big differnce in noise. like having the window open and the window closed while on thottle. its not exsaclty like that but give you a ball park. plus mine aint boosted so you can imagin it will be lots more louder

Ah right,

So around $750 for a 4'' intake or $130 for a replacement pipe.. im assuming with a tune and a few mods you would get a bit of extra power out of the intake but not so much the replacement pipe. If there was no sound difference would the 4'' intake be worth the extra $600?

If you use the replacement pipe, I guess you would get a growler induction or something? and end up at the same price..

I want louder flutter/dose noises but dont want to waste money obviously

suggestions/comments?

If you want to dose then you pretty much need the 4" intake. You can make decent power on the standard gear but you'll get a bit more response and obviously noise with the bigger intake.

If your planning on making a bit of power in the future and you obviously want the noise so go with the 4".

PM Stainless on here for one. Stainonegger or what ever the *beep*'s name is these days ;)
