A disappointing evening for the T and big horespower! Both contenders broke their transmissions (not sure in what way) and don't think any times were recorded. So it looks like they have both found the limits of the auto T's drive line :(

However, good to see both cars in the flesh.

Does any one know weather the drags were run last night & if so more importantly did APS run their Ute & what times they ran???

APS did 11.34@125mph before trashing the trans, they also recorded a terminal speed as high as 127mph as well. Nizpro only managed to do one pass with a time in the 12's @105mph.

it was a good night ...

Nizpro ran very early (before most got there which defeat the purpose a little :spit: )

APS ran a number of strong passes in the low 11s with good speed and finally said goodbye to the tranny in a encore pass :(

I like to see Nizpro and APS side by side ... first over the line

anyways ... with over 400rwkw the tranny was still working (sort off  )

well done guys

Interesting ... what happened to all the promos about autos being the best for the strip, not breaking etc.? I know these cars are putting out way above their stock torque but some manuals are also and I haven't heard of any of them breaking yet. I seem to remember Steve's (Redcliffe Dyno) is a manual and he is also on record as saying in his opinion the manual will stand a lot more torque than everyone else has been saying.

GO THE MANUALS

Low 11s are good though eh? even for an auto

Where are the manuals behind motors like these??????

Steve's opinion is just that, his opinion! No disrespect to Steve, I don't know him, but has he been running 11's week after week in a manual? Maybe, but not that I've heard? When he has, then his opinion becomes fact, but not before.

I always thought dynosteve's beast had an auto gearbox..

Anyways, on to the broken transmissions. Now they have an excuse to toughen the suckers up then do a little more power increases ;)

Steve's car is an Auto, he hasn't run 11's yet that I know of.
