so, does anyone know about swapping the icc? if the two modules are swapped as in previous post, would this be ok not to be reprogrammed by ford?

can swap em around all you like as long as the white (sometimes blue) box on the top and the bottom of the ICC are swapped to stay in the same car

NOTE:

I thought I should mention for any future readers of this thread, that ive been warned about turning the ICC upside down (or even on a great angle). Take great care when removing this...if you drop it or invert it, apparently you need to throw it away because of the rollover sensor inside which will blow the electrics when re-installed (rollover safety feature). There is a sticker on the ICC from Ford, saying discard if dropped, but you dont notice that sticker until you have it removed and by then you may have turned it over. WARNING.

this is bull crap have had one tumble down a set of stairs still works to this day

have changed heaps of them and never worried to much about being careful or gentle never had one fail yet

The 6 stacks are a little more sensitive to being upside down

Remove all cds before powering off

I laugh at all the myths relating to the icc

Most issues are caused be damage to the icc connector due to the

Incorrect removal and reinstall procdure.
